Good morning everyone, here are some selections for Saratoga on Saturday, September 4th.
3rd Race Saratoga-It looks like #7 Pipeline (2-1) is best suited to get this extended sprint distance. He turns back from his last race at 1 1/8m and was sharpened with Johnny V putting him on top to get some "bottom" into him. That effort should suit him well to prevail over the rest of them stretching out. I will be playing 20 units WIN & PLACE and 5-unit exacta boxes 7-6 &
7-4.
5th Race Saratoga-#1-Oxana (3-1) looks like the speed of the speed coming in from Parx. Granted, this is jump up for her, but at this meet and especially the last week or so, SPEED KILLS!! Irad Ortiz is a master at evaluating the track condition and he will surely have her winging out of the gate. Give us 20 units to WIN & PLACE and 5-unit exacta boxes 1-6 ,1-4 & 1-5.
7th Race Saratoga-This is a very talented group of youngsters and singling out the winner is a dicey proposition. So, we are going to play a 2-unit exacta box using 2-3-10-6.
8th Race Saratoga-#1 Public Sector (7-5) stands out here after winning the Grade 2 Hall of Fame earlier this month and gets Irad Ortiz in the saddle from the inside post. This colt is very sharp, probably the best form of his life for Chad Brown and we are playing 40 units to WIN and 10-units exacta boxes 1-4 & 1-2.
11th Race Saratoga-#3- War Like Goddess (4-5) is every bit deserving to be the favorite in this field and will definitely be off to the Breeder's Cup races at Del Mar later this year. This filly is a "freak" in the best sense of the word. She is my Best Bet of the Day and I will be playing 100 units to WIN and 30-unit daily doubles with #5 Night Ops & #2 Max Player in the 12th race.
12th Race Saratoga-#5 Night Ops (5-1) is sitting on a big effort and tipped his hand last out in the Alydar, finishing 2nd to Art Collector whose is no slouch. The price (5-1) is attractive and getting Manny Franco on the return ride won't hurt either. I am playing 40 units to WIN & Place and 10-unit exacta boxes 5-2 & 5-1.
